Bridging the Past and the Future: The Vision of LUTHSCONSAA

Lagos University Teaching Hospital School/College of Nursing Sciences Alumni Association is an association of like-minded individuals who are products of our esteemed school, Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, Lagos, now College of Nursing Sciences.  The alumni association has existed since the school’s inception in 1962. It has functioned intermittently since then, but it became active in 2019 and fully registered with the CAC in 2021.The school, having metamorphosed into the College of Nursing Sciences, made it imperative that the alumni association change from LUTH SONMOSA into LUTHCONSAA. 

Our coming together was intended to provide a link for communication for our students both past and present, provide the opportunity for all to give back to the school, the community and the country, through education, practice, advocacy, research, and collaboration, help our nurses and nursing profession to transform the health of the communities we serve.

About LUTH School of Nursing

The School of Nursing situated within the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba is an outstanding Nursing Institution that ranks among the top nursing schools in Nigeria. Our core principle is based on excellence as we seek to exceed expectation in grooming young nursing students, bridge the widening gap between theory and practice as well as contribute immensely to the growth/stability of Health care system in Nigeria. The School, which is over 60 years old, can boast of an academic environment which is rich in clinical education, practical learning and innovative research. Its e-library and state of the art simulation laboratory is second to none among Schools of Nursing in Nigeria.
